Pure Joy Kitchen was created to bring the foods that we teach in our culinary academy to the community. Our Organic Whole Foods Eatery in Bend is dedicated to teaching you how to use food as medicine, to uplift the spirit and help you experience more Pure Joy! We are committed to sourcing organic, sustainable, fair trade, local, whole foods! The Pure Joy Chef's

Founder and Mastermind behind Pure Joy Kitchen,  Elaina Love, is a pioneer in the plant-based and raw food movement. She operates a raw food culinary academy and been serving and teaching in her community for over 20 years. She is dedicated to helping others heal through high vibe  food choices.


Co-Founder and Chef, Katelyn Louise, is a certified herbalist who has trained with top Chinese herbalists. She healed from autoimmune dis-ease by implementing her knowledge of detox, raw foods and herbs. Katelyn  is passionate about teaching others how to heal and restore their own health. 

Community Mission

As part of our contribution to the Bend community, we will provide organic sustainable foods,  give nutrition talks, facilitate movie nights, social gatherings, and weekend retreats.

FALL COOKING CLASSES AT PURE JOY KITCHEN

Feeding yourself healthy, plant-based foods should be fun and easy! Learn from my 20+ years of experience as a chef and instructor. I will show you how to make breakfast, lunch, dinner and everyday snacks that will nourish you for years to come. My recipes are tried and true and will make the whole family happy. We will focus on a variety of raw and cooked dishes that are flavorful and nutrition packed. Included in this series is a class on Nutritionally packed coffees and elixirs to balance your mood and energy throughout fall and winter

Elaina Love’s 8-week Wednesday Night class series

Take the entire series or choose individual classes that fit your needs.

All of my classes are Plant-Based, Organic, Paleo and Keto Adaptable. I use fresh, whole food ingredients. Most classes will include ketogenic (low carb) or higher carb options.

Ample tastings and recipe packets are provided with each class. 

Note: I will be discussing a variety of information at each class pertaining to health, substituting healthy ingredients for unhealthy ones and how to eat an anti-inflammatory diet. We may discuss different supplements and superfood ingredients in detail as they relate to the classes.

· Wed October 3rd 6-7:30 pm

BEST OF Sauces Class plus Intro to a whole food lifestyle. Elaina will discuss the foundation for an anti-inflammatory diet and why it’s important to replace grains and sugar with healthier options. Learn the art of making delicious sauces with your blender. From Coconut curry paste, Red bell pepper remoulade, Green goddess sauce or dressing, Ranch dressing/dip, Asian Fusion sauce for your stir-fry, Zoodles, or steamed veggies. And even a chocolate sauce for dipping for pouring or adding to coffee. No matter the meal, I’ve got a sauce for you! (keto-paleo friendly)

Breakfast foods: Learn Quick Coconut Yogurt with Superfood toppings, Nut Milks (just say no to boxed milk), Apple Cinnamon Paleo Granola (raw or baked) and 2 Superfood packed Smoothies for daily nutrition. (keto-paleo friendly)

· Wed October 17th 6-7:30 pm

Soups and One-Pot Meals: So flavorful, and delicious! Learn the foundation for a creamy vegetable soup and what flavor elements and textures make a meal or soup hearty and satisfying. Cream of Cauliflower, Curry, Butternut Bisque and One Pot Wonder Bowl with seasonal veggies.

Coffees and Medicinal Mushroom Elixirs: Learn about the benefits of using Medicinal Mushrooms and Adaptogens. We will include them in our Keto Coffee (aka Bulletproof), Golden Milk, Chai Latte and talk about other nutrient-packed hot beverages. Bonus: Baked Mexican Chocolate Cookies (keto-paleo friendly)

· Wed October 31st 6-7:30 pm Since it’s Halloween I will serve a special holiday treat

Ketogenic foods for Everyone: You don’t have to eat a Keto diet to enjoy these delicious recipes: Mesquite Magic Smoothie, Vegan Protein Bowl with “Cream Cheese” Sauce, Instant, Baked Grain-Free Seed Bread, Sunflower Toona, & Quick Coconut Ice “Cream”

Over-the-Top Desserts: Lemon Meringue Pie (keto), Apple Cobbler with whipped coconut topping, Pumpkin Pie-Chocolate Swirl Cheesecake

Grain-Free Pizza- Learn a basic almond-coconut flour crust. Sauces include marinara, pesto, pizza “cheese”. Toppings include marinated mushrooms, sautéed veggie, olives, and veggie sausage

Wed November 21st 6-7:30 pm  

Yogurt & Cheese making: In this class, you will learn how to make vegan cultures. Make kefir, nut or seed cheeses using probiotics. We will make Coconut Kefir, Cashew Herb Cheese, Almond Feta Cheese, Cheddar Cheese, and Seed Crackers. (Keto friendly) As with all of my recipes, there is no dairy or animal products in our cultured cheeses)

SPECIAL CHOCOLATE MAKING with Ryan Re: $60 Hot drinking chocolates (like a chocolate bar in a cup, with tons of flavor and pizazz) Learn a variety of ways to make a chocolate ecstasy in a cup. 4-Layer Chocolate Decadence Mousse Pie- Pure Joy’s famous pie is made by Ryan and it tastes like the best chocolate bar you’ve ever had. The layers of creaminess are like no other and it will make a perfect birthday or holiday cake. The best part is, it does not have refined sugar (we use coconut sugar) or any grains! This class is NOT Keto approved but it IS Paleo and Vegan friendly.

Not part of the 8-week series, but can be purchased separately. 

Ryan is our in-house chocolatier and all around special dessert maker. He has a knack for his chocolate making skills.

Prices: $60 per class. Buy all 8 classes for $360 ($45 per class) or 4 classes of your choosing for $200 ($50 per class) Classes will fill at 10 people so book early.

Want to go even deeper with the gourmet cooking experience or have a cooking afternoon with your guy/gal pals? I offer Private Hands-On classes at your home or mine. Choose from a variety of recipes and/or cleansing programs to suit your tastes and needs. Personal Nutrition advice, shopping links (a tour of the health food store if desired), stocking your cupboards (and/or cleaning them out), and a variety of information on health and nutrition. Up to 5 people at a time may attend. 3-hour minimum. $100 per hour for 1-2 persons, $50 per hour /per person for 3 or more people. All recipes included (ingredients not included).
